COVID-19 Information & Response

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) persists in our area and requires us to maintain protective measures for the health and well-being of all patrons and staff. Each of us play a part in helping prevent the spread of this illness and we take our responsibility to provide and maintain a healthy community space seriously.

WHAT WE KNOW

There are multiple sources of information, and for the purposes of preparing our plan and response we have relied on the latest information from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the City of Key West.

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, including:

  • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).

  • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

It may also be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has SARS-CoV-2 on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the primary way the virus spreads.

People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported - ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus and can include: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
