Our Story

For more than 100 years, the iconic church at the corner of William and Fleming Streets has been an important part of the spiritual and architectural landscape of Key West. During the 1940’s, it was a thriving religious and community center with more than 400 members. By 2017, the congregation had dwindled and the building had fallen into near irreversible disrepair, which forced a sale of the property.

Believing that the building could once again form the nucleus of a thriving hub of spiritual and social activities, the new owners of the church formed a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation to own, restore and operate the facility. After a three year restoration and modernization, the facility is reopening as Williams Hall in late 2020.

The focus of Williams Hall is to provide an environment for spiritual exchange and services, life skills learning opportunities for young teens, social activities and classes for the age 50+ community and cultural programs for all ages. Through a variety of services, classes, lectures and meetings, Williams Hall can return the facility to its historic relevance in the community.
