Meet the Drama Club Director

Emily Young
Drama Club Director

Born and raised in Key West, Emily Young is thrilled to be back in her hometown as the Director of the KWHS Drama Club at Williams Hall. She majored in Film, Television, and Theatre at the University of Vermont, and was an active member of the University's theater program, where she was trained in all aspects of the theater – including Stage Management, Costume and Set Design, and Directing. After college, Emily moved to New York City where she worked in both scripted and reality television production. She worked for networks such as Netflix, ABC, CBS, FX, HGTV, and Food Network. She took her love of the arts with her to law school, graduating with a J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA. There, she focused on Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law, in order to better understand how to best protect artists rights and their creative intellectual property. Since graduating and returning to Key West, Emily has been working for the Garcia Law Firm. As Director of the Drama Club at Williams Hall, it is an honor and a privilege for her to work with talented high school students and offer them many diverse opportunities to perform in Key West.
