A Burgundy Dinner & Screening with the Key West Film Festival

The evening starts at Williams Hall with a short blind tasting led by our sommelier, Daniel McCurdy. It's a sampling of the wines being poured this evening, tasted before you know what's in the glass. Then sit down to a three-course dinner served with paired wines. After dinner, take a short walk to the Tropic Cinema for an 8:15 PM screening of Burgundy.

The film is a new documentary from Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw, who also made The Truffle Hunters. It's set on a 160-year-old family vineyard in Burgundy, France. An aging patriarch is handing the estate to a grandson who has very different plans for it. It's a close look at a way of life and at what one generation passes on to the next.

The menu borrows from the forest floor and the wine cellar:

  • Pickled Mushroom Salad with Butternut Squash Confit

  • Mutton Snapper with Mushroom Strudel and Salsa Verde

  • Burgundy Red Wine Poached Pear with Candy Cap Mushroom Crème Anglaise and Almond Praline
