1st Annual key west playwright festival
A showcase for bold new short plays. Written for the stage, born in Key West.
Playwrights Mark Hedden, Aramis Ikatu and Michael Marrero are launching the first-ever Key West Playwright Festival, dedicated to new, original works for the stage. We’re looking for short plays with strong voices, sharp craft, and memorable characters. If selected, your play will receive a table read, a workshop performance, and fully staged public readings in late April / early May.
This is an open call. No theme. No restrictions on genre. Make it good.
Plays must be 12 minutes or under
1–6 characters (doubling possible)
