Join Instructor Margo Ellis in this 4-week workshop as she teaches you, step by step, the basics of machine quilting including how to layer and machine quilt a completed quilt top.

Classes meet 1-4pm, Wednesday, September 8, 15, 22, 29

Workshop Price: $140

+ Supplies

Workshop will provide small quilt sandwiches of backing, and top for you to practice on. If you have scraps of interesting prints bring them along to practice with.

Supplies required:

• Quilt top or piece of fabric about 36 x36 (a printed panel would work)
• ⅜ yd fabric for binding (this could be purchased later)
• Batting at least 4 inches larger than your top piece
• Backing fabric at least 4 inches larger than your top
• Regular machine sewing thread to match or contrast. 40 to 50 weight.

Optional:

• Sewing machine with extension table if you have one
• Free motion/darning foot
• Basic sewing supplies

Notes:

The Seam Shoppe is the only fabric store in town and their staff is very helpful. Look at the samples in the store of color ideas. They offer a 10% discount to my students.
