Since 2013, photographer Tom Flip has been documenting the faces of Key West through his ongoing Heads Up portrait series — a powerful exploration of identity, time, and community. Revisited in 2018 and again in 2023, the project captures not just individual faces, but the evolving story of the island itself.

Heads Up Key West returns to display images from all three sessions, offering a visual record of the incredible individuals who make up the Key West community.

Join us for the Opening Reception at Williams Hall on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 5–8pm. All Heads Up photographs — including past sessions and the long-unseen “lost” images — will be on display from January 17th through February 28th.
