Zen Meditation

Zazen, a form of seated meditation, is at the very heart of Zen Practice and offers benefits such as reduced stress, greater physical and mental health, and stabilized emotions. The ultimate promise of Zen, however, is living with more peace and grace as we open to the richness and wisdom of the present moment. This one-hour session includes seated meditation, walking meditation and a short discussion at the end of class.

No experience with Zazen is necessary.

Jan JinKai Gary is the founding teacher of Ocean Mind Zendo Key West. She has been a Zen practitioner for twenty years and is a Dharma Holder and teacher under Sensei Martine Taikai Palmiter in the Soto Zen tradition of the White Plum Asanga.
