Quilting with Margo Ellis: Sari Silk Landscapes

Join quilt artist and instructor Margo Ellis for a 4-week workshop exploring texture, color, and dimension through this hands-on series. Participants will create small landscape wall hangings using sari silk strips, incorporating techniques such as raw edge appliqué, machine stitching, hand stitching, and embellishment with beads, lace, and wash-away stabilizer for added depth and 3D interest.

All supplies are provided with a $30 class fee. Participants are welcome to bring personal materials such as silk scraps, shells, beads, or other embellishments to incorporate into their projects (not required for the first class).

Classes meet Tuesdays from 12:30–3:30pm, beginning Tuesday, May 12, 2026 through Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Workshop Price: $140

Notes:

The Seam Shoppe is the only fabric store in town and their staff is very helpful. Look at the samples in the store of color ideas. They offer a 10% discount to my students.
