Robert Albury “Key West’s King of Soul”

A homegrown Key West talent, Robert Albury, grew up on the corner of Amelia and Whitehead Streets in Bahama Village. Robert had nine brothers and they all sang. Young Robert Albury was most inspired by Louis Armstrong's performance in Key West. To Robert, the vocals of Soul music come from deep down within a special place in your heart. He says, “That’s what makes soul music so great.”

Robert Albury sings because he has to. He feels he has a gift that he has to share. He leaves everything on stage. Join us at Williams Hall for a tribute to the King of Key West Soul – Robert Albury. Robert will be accompanied by the Soul of Key West Band, led by Larry Baeder, Tony Elitcher, Bubba Lownotes, Ray Spence and others.
